Therapuetic Massage

Combining Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point massage techniques that is focused on improving circulation, relaxation, loosening stiff muscles and joints, and relieving long-term chronic muscle tension resulting from specific problems such as poor posture, or repetitive stress.

Preconception Fertility Massage

The preconception period can be a very stressful time for women who are trying to conceive. Since one of the greatest benefits of regular massage is stress reduction, fertility massage uses specific techniques to help create an environment in which your body feels relaxed to establish a rhythm for its own reproductive process. Fertility massage is not intended to replace medical treatment; however it can be used on its own or alongside traditional medical fertility treatment.

The techniques used are focused on clearing the areas of the hips, pelvis, and stomach of any adhesions or constrictions. It aims to increase circulation, break up adhesions, and increase blood flow to the spine and pelvis. This method is designed to support your body’s circulatory, nervous, and reproductive systems.

There is a focus placed on abdominal cleansing work, pelvic massage, foot and hand reflex points, craniosacral holds, and jaw release work.

Prenatal Massage

The changes a woman goes through during pregnancy effects a woman’s posture, causing significant musculoskeletal changes in her body. This can create neck, shoulder, lower back, and pelvic discomfort, making it hard to relax. Specific massage techniques can be used to relieve this discomfort.

Benefits include:

  • Diminished lower back, lower abdominal, neck, and shoulder pain.
  • Decreased leg cramps.
  • Improves circulation and helps to decrease edema.
  • Helps with anxiety and depression caused by fluctuation in hormones.
  • More restful sleep.

Postpartum Massage

Postpartum massage is focused on the helping the woman’s body come back into balance after so many physical and hormonal changes have taken place. This massage helps to release tension from delivery. Special attention is placed on the neck, shoulders, back, pelvis, thighs, and feet, typical spots that become tense from the strain of pregnancy, delivery, and breastfeeding.

Benefits include:

  • Lowers stress hormones.
  • Helps to facilitate Cesarean Section healing.
  • Helps to draw hips and ribs together.
  • Help to relieve stress and tension resulting from the pressures of having a new baby.

Infant Massage Instruction

  • Massage lessons for parents to help their babies develop stronger immune systems, enjoy shorter hospital stays for NICU babies, better digestion, relieves colic and gas, and other benefits.
